No interpretation or presentation of the Lewis and Clark Expedition can be made without acknowledging the enormous contributions Native Americans made toward the success of the Expedition. The Montana Museum of Art & Culture designed this national traveling exhibition to acknowledge the importance of these contributions and examine the consequences of the Expedition. An exhibition catalog, published by the University of Montana Press, will accompany the exhibition. Funding for this exhibition has been provided by the National Endowment for the Arts the Montana Committee for the Humanities, the Montana Cultural Trust, and the National Park Service.
