The third Friday of every month is Gallery Night in Salt Lake City. Everyone is welcome to stroll the streets and visit surrounding galleries that stay open until 9pm for this special occasion. Many of the galleries, such as the Dolores Chase, Leftbank and Artspace, Inc., provide a reception of sorts. Cheese, bread and a variety of fresh fruits and other appetizers are served for the visitors and the local artist who has work on exhibit. Gallery stroll maps, with gallery addresses, are available at Artspace, Inc. and the Salt Lake City Public Library.
